Sarawak Premium Red

SARAWAK Premium Red Rice /Beras Perang Merah (Semipolished) is a wet paddy variety planted by the local community in Siburan and Lundu in Sarawak. It is popular among locals for its high health values as it is rich in manganese, calcium and other essential nutrients.

The red colour of the rice comes from a flavonoid compound known as anthocyanin, which is high in antioxidants. The rice has a nutty flavour and a unique aroma when cooked.
